On the long-haul return from Dallas (Aug 17) recently I had a “nudge” I believe from Holy Spirit to watch a children’s movie called “Turbo” by the studio “DreamWorks”.
When I looked at the length of the movie, I estimated that there would be just enough time to see it out before the cabin would be prepared for landing. I could have just so easily closed my eyes for the last two hours.
As a rule I am not a big TV or movie watcher unless I feel prompted from Holy Spirit that He wants to teach me something or convey a message to me.
I have no doubt that in this instance there was a strong message conveyed, that He is about to reveal Himself strong and superior in the most unlikely places and through the most unlikely people.
The story starts by introducing a cute little snail named THEO with a “Number 5” painted on his shell. This little snail had “an impossible dream” of being a race car and winning the “Indianapolis 500”.
Knowing his name was “Theo”, which means “GOD”, seeing the Number 5 (which represents Grace (the power of God to do what we cannot do for ourselves) and pondering the number 500 which I also knew I would find significant, I was engaged.
There was one other snail in the company of snail friends who also had their shell painted with the number “13”, the number of the “Love “chapter 1 Corinthians 13.
I was hearing loud and clear already. Two years prior I had a prayer assignment to the heart of our nation and had, to have made and take with me three banners, “Grace” and “Love” and “Jehovah Nissi” (meaning “The LORD is our banner”) to the top of Uluru, to call for the awakening of the sons and daughters of the land to Love and to call for the destiny of this Great Southland of The Holy Spirit.
My next assignment to Israel in just a few weeks’ time (31 October 2017) is exactly 100 years since the victory of the ANZAC Light Horse Brigade, taking back the wells of Beersheba, against all odds. For those not familiar with “the charge of The Light Horse Brigade, it is one of the most famous battles in history. Against all odds, an impossible dream one might say, 800 horsemen, totally unprotected, rode into the face of a 6000 strong army firing cannons, to take back the wells of Beersheba and ultimately The gates of Jerusalem, effectively freeing Jerusalem& Israel from the rule of the Ottoman Empire.
It is also the 500th anniversary of Luther’s nailing of his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church which began a revolution.
THE GOD DREAMER
Back to this little dreamer “Theo”. He would watch the Indianapolis 500 replays on his TV in his every spare moment, and in his mind, he would be transported to the racetrack and see himself winning the race, an impossible dream. In fact, the movie opens with “the vision” in Theo’s mind of him seeing himself being presented the trophy/prize. He comes out of the vision and the picture shifts back to the actual award ceremony, with the current champion, Number 1, “ADRENO” being awarded the winner’s trophy and of course the shaken bottle of champagne shower.
In making his acceptance speech Adreno says” As my dear Daddy always told me “NO DREAM IS TOO BIG AND NO DREAMER TOO SMALL”.
The name “Adreno” clearly comes from the word “Adrenaline,” a NATURAL “power substance” in the human body.
The ENEMY WITHIN.
Even in Theo’s natural world, a garden patch of tomatoes, he was still small and insignificant. It seemed that he was always the awkward one, always dreaming and getting slammed by rotten overripe tomatoes falling of the vines.
He was always criticised by his friends for his daydreaming and his response. “I can’t help it. It’s in me.” To which his friends replied “no, it’s not in you.”
“Says who” replied Theo.
“Says mother nature. We all have our limitations. As soon as you accept this dull miserable reality of your existence, the sooner you’ll be happy” to which Theo replies “Well aren’t you just a little ray of sunshine?”
Theo was frustrated. He knew what was on the inside of him. He never criticized his friends or reacted with anger. He just continued to Dream.
I saw him like many of the apostles and prophets of our day who know they are made for something more, something that has its expression beyond the religious structure in which they find themselves confined. I believe that is part of the reason we find so many artists and musicians “lost” in darkness, expressing themselves in dark art on subway walls and the sides of trains and underpasses. They are prophetic minstrels and artisans that could not find the true place for their expression
THE ENEMY WITHOUT
“Lookout, here comes the shell crusher” goes up the warning from his friends. In response to the warning, all the little snails pull themselves into their shells and roll away into a safe hiding position from the little boy on the tricycle with the murderous intent piercing through his gaze, honed in on the defenceless little snails.
How like the prophets, who have stepped out and faced “the shell crushers” and heeding the warning have pulled themselves back into the safety of their shells and rolled into a cave of protection.
THERE COMES A TIME TO MAKE A KEY DECISION.
The winner Guy Gagne, says “Well, there comes a time in every race where the driver has to make a KEY decision, whether to STAY BEHIND or PUSH AHEAD, take a chance and RISK IT ALL or PLAY IT SAFE AND SUFFER DEFEAT”
At this point I’m thinking “the body of Christ is behind. It’s time for that Key Decision to PUSH AHEAD and I’m also thinking “heaven suffers violence and violent men take it by force.”
Matthew 11:12 “From the days of John the Baptist until now, The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence and violent men take it by force”. And Philippian’s 3:13 says “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press forward toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Incidentally this was the baptism scripture I “prophesied” over myself when I was baptised in a Baptist Church and they most definitely did not prophesy, that’s another story for another day)
THEO is really fired up now and feels the anointing coming out through the TV screen. He shouts, “RISK IT ALL GUY”.
THE MIDNIGHT HOUR. ORDINARY VERSUS EXTRAORDINARY
Then Guy goes on say “What really separates the ORDINARY FROM THE EXTRORDINARY…” and then suddenly the power is lost to the TV set, as the power goes out on the TV and the clock on the wall shows 12 MIDNIGHT. I believe that we are in “The midnight hour”. I know that was significant.
As the TV breaks and his friends rejoice calling to Theo to “Come back to reality”, the big red tomato that they have all been watching and waiting to ripen falls from the vine. It represents the food from a natural world, an ordinary life, in their small natural back yard.
Within seconds that “prize fruit” that they have all so anticipated which looked so good on the vine, was demolished by the young “shell crusher” boy, this time, not on his scooter, but now pushing a lawnmower and the words come on the screen “EVIL MOWER”.
Theo is consumed into his dream again, hearing the words in his spirit “There comes a point in time where you have to make that split second key decision”.
Theo makes a split-second decision to be the hero and makes a dash to “rescue” the prized tomato, imagining himself on a racing track. In the process, he is almost killed, his friends coming to his rescue, before he is chewed up by the evil mower. “When are you going to give up Theo?”
Despondent, he pensively makes his way to a high point on a wall overlooking the city and looks to the sky.
THEN SUDDENLY. HERE COMES THE WIND
Suddenly in a freak accident, he finds himself picked up by the wind (it’s raining and windy) and he’s catupluted onto the bonnet of a car involved in a street race and just as he’s beginning to experience the exhilaration and the wind in his face, after the initial shock and panic, he finds himself sucked into the “heart” and the “DNA” of the racing car. The graphics in the movie, initially look like the workings of the mechanics of a car, but then change in appearance to look like the heart and blood vessels and DNA strands, like a living entity, and Theo becomes supercharged” with “light” energy.
SUPERCHARGED WITH LIGHT. THE POWER TO TRANSFORM
Initially the light power, the sound and the rhythm of this new “supercharge” is confusing and he is not able to direct, contain or control it accurately. Lights and sirens are going off at all the wrong times in all the wrong places, but in a short time he is able to focus this new “charge” to align with the focus of his dream to become a racer.
In a prophetic sense, it speaks of the Empowerment of The Holy Spirit and the special anointing’s. It takes some time to learn how to function in synchronization with The Holy Spirit.
Not only does this power become a benefit to him, but ultimately transforms a “loser desolate town in the “back of beyond” to a thriving joyous and prosperous community. Just after his transformation into the supercharged snail, he found himself taken captive by some small-time gamblers in a two-bit ghost town where he found himself in a dungeon in a “snail race”. Little did he know that in this dark, hidden place, his talents would be recognised and the people of this obscure town in the desert would “risk it all” and give their last penny to send Theo, now known as “TURBO”, to the Indianapolis 500. It was in this place of captivity, that he has a “name change” as he could see his destiny opening before him.
This reminds me of Psalm 61. “The Spirit of The LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, AND OPENING OF THE PRISON TO THOSE WHO ARE BOUND, And repair the ruined cities and desolations of many generations.
It also reminded me of the story of Joseph; taken captive and held in a dungeon, to ultimately bring blessing and a “turnaround prosperity’
And they shall rebuild the old ruins. They shall raise up the former desolation.
A VIOLENT RACE
Of course, it was a violent battle to the last lap with the perpetual champion ADRENO, using one dirty tactic after another to cheat, kill and destroy TURBO in the race of his life but we all know the end of the story, the little Supernaturally charged snail gave every last part of his heart and soul and with the encouragement of his friends he crossed the line just ahead of ADRENO (naturally charged man)
It was interesting that in the movie, it was lap number 133 that was the “turning point”.
There is only one book in the bible that has at least 133 chapters, the book of “Psalms” and so it was obvious that The LORD wanted me to see what was in Psalm 133.
Psalm 133, I believe is THE “turning point “Psalm.
When the body of Christ reach what I call the “ONE NEW MAN”. One mind. One heart, One Spirit unity, as described in Psalm 133, fullness of The Spirit, we will “win the race” and receive our “prize”.
PSALM 133 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is.
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron,
Running down the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing life forevermore (eternal life).
SOME ADDITIONAL INTERESTING SIDENOTES.
500 is 10 Jubilees.
This is the 500th the year since the Reformation (October 31st)
THIS IS THE KICKER FOR ME; Psalm 22 is the 500th chapter of scripture.
Psalm 22 is a messianic Psalm which reveals the future redemptive work of the Messiah, the finished work of the cross and the fullness of the posterity in every tribe, tongue and nation in the earth, the ultimate Jubilee. I would recommend the reader, take time to read the Psalm before proceeding to understand what I am sharing in the following dream.
Jesus said, “It is finished”. We win.
Now let me explain why this is the “kicker”.
I AM A DREAMER. THE DREAM
In September of 2016, I had a dream. In that dream, I was in a hut in an island nation. The hut was quite distinctive. It had a central pole and a very distinctive table which had a “cut out” in the centre to fit around the pole so that it could be used as a kind of “pulpit” of table.
In the centre either side of that table were two “messengers” (that was the word that was given in my dream to describe them) they were dressed in traditional wrap around blue and white cotton sarongs. I felt that the blue and white represented Israel (the inheritance in the tribes of Israel). The first messenger said to me “Have you read Psalm 22?” The second messenger said to me “Do you know what is in Psalm 22?”
At that point, I woke up.
I was very excited when I opened the scripture and read it, because as an intercessor for the last two years I have been calling forth the inheritance that is in the bloodlines of all the families, tribes tongues and nations of the earth. In about three weeks before this dream, I recognised that my “language” had changed in that I was now calling forth “the posterity” rather that “the inheritance”. There is little difference it would seem, however there is a “huge” difference. An inheritance is for the person who immediately receives it from the previous generation. Posterity is something by inference that is “forever”, it endures from generation to generation. It “perpetuates”.
There is a lot to the story, that I may write in an article on its own, but I found myself in the exact place in my dream on the island of Aneitym, Vanuatu, in the following March, this March 2017.
It was from these islands of Vanuatu in The South Pacific that the prophetic declaration of “The Great Southland of The Holy Spirit” was released in 1603 on the day of Pentecost.
It was to this island of Aneitym, Vanuatu, that the gospel first came to bring light. The missionary who came from England said, “I have come to the darkest place on earth, but now there is light”.
I know that God is about to pour out His Spirit in this hour on the people of The South Pacific, this Great Southland of The Holy Spirit.
So, I say to those of you who God made “dreamers, seers”, don’t give up on the God given dreams that are in you. You are about to be caught up into a “supernatural vehicle” to enable you by His Grace (Number 5) to fulfil the destiny that He placed in you.
IN THAT DAY.
At the beginning of this year I heard Holy Spirit say “In that day”. He wanted me to look up all the scriptures that related to “In that day” and so I will leave the dreamers with this last WORD from Joel Chapter 3 from verse 18 but suggest that you read the whole of the book of Joel.
“And it will come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”
Winds of Change
